Bradley Gabe continues with this tutorial that demonstrates animation techniques for controlling particle path animation using Bézier interpolation from his previous tutorial. First, Bézier interpolation is used in combination with multiple grid meshes to generate procedural animation paths. Second, Bézier interpolation is used to control the animation velocity along those paths. All of the animation is controlled using a non-simulated ICE operator.
The advantage of setting up a particle cloud in this manner is the explicit control it grants the user over particle motion, while at the same time resulting in motion that has a simulated feel to it.
