I came across a slideshow from Rich Diamant, Lead Character Artist and Judd Simantov, Lead Character TD at Naughty Dog used at a talk that they recently gave on Naughty Dog’s character production pipeline. This is really a great look at the entire process from modeling to rigging to problems that they encountered and how they were fixed, as well as getting into an overview of the custom tools that they used.
