Peter Quint did this really great thing! Peter Quint noticed a tutorial describing how the discovery channel rebrand would have been done in an applications like Cinema 4D and After Effects, and thought, “What would the workflow be like in Houdini?”.
I love watching one technique done over with different workflows, it really gives you a greater sense of what might be out there beyond the scope of your desktops mouse-click. I also find it very interesting to watch how techniques may be approached in other workflows and to make note of what is simpler, easier and maybe a technique or two that could transfer to what you are used to… all around very cool!

An rather complex tutorial looking at the creation of a professional intro effect (in this case copying the Discovery channel rebranding done by Royale).
