fast automatic generation of 3d face models from photos

A research group at Waseda University have been working on technology to create 3D face models quickly from photographs taken from ordinary cameras, actually, the system generates fairly accurate 3D models from a single photograph by using feature point facial analysis techniques and relating them back to a database of over 1000 3D face models from people young and old.
