voxelogic releases acropora 1.2 beta

By September 24, 2010No Comments

Voxilogic has recently released a new beta for their procedural volumetric modeler Acropora. This new release brings voxel modeling to a whole new level, with animation of modifiers and primitives.

Acropora from voxilogic is a procedural modeler that combines volumetric modifiers with multi-octave 3D noise to generate super high detailed surfaces much faster than other conventional surface modeling software. Acropora uses a less deterministic method to creating complex and organic shapes by applying sequences of modifiers on large voxelized meshes. Download Acropora 1.2 Beta.

Some of the new features for Acropora 1.2 beta include:

  • Full animation of base objects, regions, meshes, modifiers and filters.
  • Spline controllers
  • Voxel volume transformations
  • Path objects
  • Cellular noise
  • Gabor noise
  • Filter settings for modifiers
  • Full transformations for noise modifiers
  • Export of animationn sequences
  • Autodesk Studio MAX mesh loaders for animated sequences
