Gareth Smith looks at the basics of using Text Animators in After Effects, where you can create simple animation easily. In this case, Gareth looks at how to wiggle the type, and then make the type explode apart.
Animated type tutorial 2: text animators and an exploding word! from Gareth Smith on Vimeo.
This tutorial goes over some basics of the After Effects text animator feature. Chris asked if there’s a simple way to wiggle the letters in a word then have it explode. There certainly is! I’m actually sort of still learning this technique myself, so apologies for some long pauses here and there. PLEASE NOTE: I think I didn’t set up my screen capture software properly, so the playback of animations may look jittery.
