V-Ray has recently released version 2.30.01 and within it comes a new tool called matte for reflection and refraction. This update enables you to generate an alpha mask so that in Photoshop you can easily select shadow and reflection/refraction information. The following method will allow you to work with any lighting type, with or without camera exposure.
