Nuke receives another choice for creating and rendering particles as GenArts releases particleIllusion for Nuke. GenArts acquired particleIllusion back in November of 2009 and quickly took the product and released the particleIllusion for After Effects soon afterwards.

Judging solely from the amount of Trapcode Particular tutorials around the web, it can be said that either particleIllusion has not really caught on, or it’s ease of use requires no instruction to get started. Whatever the case may be, particleIllusion for Nuke is priced to move at a mere $299 (which is the same price as the particleIllusion for After Effects) in comparison to the $699 price tag of Trapcode Particular for Nuke.
