Offsetting Time for Creative Effects in After Effects

By June 15, 2012October 3rd, 2012No Comments

Nidia Dias shows how to create an artistic time offset effect in After Effects by having the same video time offset in the form of a grid. This goes a little further than using the standard time effects by using an expression with a slider for some control.

Check out the tutorial for How To Create An Artistic Time Offset Effect in After Effects here.

Nidia Dias writes: In this tutorial we will have a look at offsetting a video in time through a grid. To achieve this we will use an expression controlled by a slider. I used this technique on the music video “Big Pink – Hit the ground” Directed by Tim Brown, Post-Production by Mainframe. Hope you enjoy it.
