ATYP Permission to Explode by Not to scale

ATYP – Permission to Explode from Not To Scale on Vimeo.

Directing duo ATYP have just put their finishing touches to their new short film meets promotional video for electronic artist Si Begg's new album.

The film utilises stop motion film techniques to track a rapid-proto-type an exploded model of Begg’s head, combining these incamera techniques with a mix of projected and CG animation, the film is a metaphorical exploration of the musical and creative process Begg undertakes when exploring the deepest waveform generating corners of his mind to create his very distinct sound of music. Si views his musical output as his own “Permission to Explode”.
