Dominik Dammelhart of Curse Studios goes over some of the key points in creating and rendering a realistic glass soda bottle including the water drops on the surface of the glass using VrayforC4D for rendering the scene.

…includes modeling, texturing, lightning and some tips and tricks. As a bonus i will also show you how to break this bottle with a bullet if you wanna create this kind of effect…

Dominik covers modeling the soda bottle a tiny bit with more of an overview really, and admittedly he does not really see himself as a modeler, so to model the coke bottle, Dominik uses a tutorial called Poly modeling a coke bottle and narrates the process of modeling as he goes through the tutorial providing some good tips for getting the model details prepared for rendering.

The overview also shows the texturing, lighting and rendering process using VrayforC4D and provides some good tips for setting up and optimizing renders.

Dominik also shows how to shatter the glass of the bottle using the Thrausi free fracturing plugin for Cinema 4D, and as a bonus also provides two different scene files for the project if you want to follow along – one with the still shot, and one with the glass shattering.
