Recently at the IBC Conference, The Foundry has announced a whole host of things, one of them is a new version of NUKE – NUKE 7, which is noted to be the largest NUKE release to date.

NUKE 7.0 comes with a host of polished and perfected tools to streamline your day-to-day workflow, as well as new additions to complement it’s highly acclaimed feature set

NUKE 7 sees the addition of RAM caching which will allow NUKE artists to playback larger scenes more interactively and in real time as well as adding GPU acceleration to NUKE Nodes with MotionBlur, Kronos Retiming, DeNoise, VectorGenerator, Convolve, and ZDefocus all benifiting from graphics card acceleration.

The Foundry has also redefined and enhanced performance to the Roto Tools in NUKE with improved stereo support. The Foundry have also built a brand spanking new 2D tracker that has sees some large workflow and speed gains. There is also a new ReLight node for relighting renders in the compositing environment, and a new ModelBuilder Node as well.
