True to form, Maxon has announced Cinema 4D R15 at the 2013 Siggraph show, and it seems rather than a huge feature release, it is more tightly focused on getting what is there now, right. This includes plenty of improvements to modeling, rendering, and dynamic sculpting tools.

MAXON today introduced CINEMA 4D Release 15 (R15) that redefines the 3D motion graphics, visual effects, painting and rendering software workflow

There are some nice additions, including full kerning capabilities for text splines and MoText objects, either through the attributes manager, or interactively in the viewport.

There are some nice changes to modeling which include the bevel tool, which has been completely re-written, working more consistently and now offers plenty of options. Believe me, this is a a pretty big deal, as there are very few 3D applications that do not struggle with bevels. A new slide tool will allow you to slide multiple points and edges with options for maintaining curvature.

R15 also has some changes under the hood where Fractures have improved, and Deformers and Muscles now multi-threaded. For the complete list of what is new and changed in Cinema 4D R15, check the page here.

A couple of my favorite Timesavers included with Cinema 4D's R15 update.
