Speeding Up Rotoscoping Tasks in Nuke by Using Tracking Data and Projections

Every chance you can get to take some of the tedium out of rotoscoping is a good thing, and Adrian Sutherland provides some tips in that arena with a look at using the tracked 3D Camera data to assist in rotoscoping tasks in Nuke.

Adrian creates a stabilized version of the plate by projecting it through a strategically placed card in Nuke, using an animated camera. This will take the pain out of roto work making it much easier, essentially taking something that would take you quite a while, down to completion in minutes.
