Techniques for Massively Replicating Objects in Modo Efficiently

Looking at some techniques for massively replicating objects with some degree of control in Modo, Trent Wiker shares two scene setups using some simple and efficient methods for placing thousands of trees on a surface.

Using a mix of Referencing and of course Modo’s Replicators, Trent also looks at using Surface Generators and groups, to end up with a scene that has 22.7 billion polygons that can still maintain some reasonable interactivity in the Viewport.
