By September 6, 2013No Comments

Paul Winex has put a lot of effort into his MGeo Exporter, which is designed to bridge Autdoesk Maya and SideFX Houdini, with exports for polygons, NURBS curves and particles.

MGeo Exporter script designed to export polygons, NURBS curves and particles in Houdini

MGeo Exporter can work with the JSON Geo format and automatically convert into BGEO with the utility gConvert, with support for polygons, particles, and curves, exporting primitive groups, and can write an MDD point cache. MGeo Convert can also export any attribute from Maya nodes or particles.

Paul has a extensive demonstrations of MGeo Exporter features on a vimeo channel that you can find here. To learn more about MGeo Exporter, check Paul’s page for it here.
