Inspired from watching Rigging Dojo’s mentor Jeff Brodsky’s Trunk Rig demo, Renato Polimeno set out to recreate the same variable FK rig in Softimage using ICE.

Renato notes that he attempted to make the variable FK entirely procedural, however that didn’t work out so well. Renato chose to slit the system into parts, which still keeps the concept of a modular workflow allowing you to easily ad or remove controls or bones.
