By April 5, 2014No Comments

Frederik Steinmetz host a tutorial on BlenderDiplom.com showing how to models a double helix DNA strand in Blender. A complex shape like a DNA strand in Blender may be difficult to reproduce, but it is actually simpler than it looks.

[blockquote source=”Frederik Steinmetz”]In this tutorial you will learn how use the ARewO Add-on and Metaballs to create a double-strand of a DNA molecule[/blockquote]

Fredrick shows how using his add-on for Blender that can easily handle replication with offset. The ARewO add-on will allow you to create animations by replicating objects with an offset.

The ARewO Add-on comes in handy when you need lots of duplicates of the same object, but with different animation start times. With the ARewO Add-on you can also place animated objects in your blender scene offering you plenty of control.
