Learn Procedural Modeling in Houdini With Over 16 Hours of Free Lecture

I recently was notified by Lesterbanks.com visitor and tutorial author Konstantin Magnus of a new and free resource recently posted, that focuses on procedural modeling using SideFX Houdini.

These video’s provide the foundation for procedural modelling using Houdini

Posted by Kim Goossens, an instructor for the  IGAD program at NHTV University of Applied Sciences in Holland, and a 23 year veteran of the CG industry, the Houdini Video Lectures for Procedural Modeling run 42 videos long on Youtube, totaling over 16 hours of lecture.

The procedural modeling tutorials will get you started by giving you a quick overview of the Houdini interface and how to use image planes to start modeling against. The lectures then run through all aspects of Houdini, including nodes, variables and expressions, VEX and even particles.

This is probably one of the largest free resources for procedural modeling in Houdini around, so if you have been meaning to get started using SideFX Houdini in general, this is not to be missed. Check out the entire playlist for Procedural Modeling using Houdini here.
