PullDownIt Sees Speed Increase With New Release

PullDownIt is a fast and affordable dynamic solver for 3ds Max and Maya, who’s strengths lie in being in its speed for calculating rigid body dynamics. Compared to other destruction effects solver plugins, PullDownIt has a whole host of shattering and splintering tools ready at disposal, making it fairly easy to integrate the dynamics tool into your workflow.

Pulldownit 3 has been released with new features for Cg destruction

Recently, Thinkinetic have taken the wraps off of PullDownIt 3, which adds some new features and makes some sweeping improves on some others, as well as some bug fixes. Check out PullDownIt3 for Maya and 3ds.

Shattering objects in PullDownIt 3 is now 20% faster, and includes a new preview shattering mode. This allows you to see the affects of all your set parameters before actually breaking the geometry.

Although it may seem slight, this can be seems as a huge workflow improvement. No longer do you have to set and tweak parameters, shatter the object, only to decide that it may not be quite what you are looking for, only to start again. Being able to preview your shattering effects will speed up your destruction effects workflow quite a bit.

PullDownIt 3 Additions

Shattering

Shattering of objects is now 20% faster.

Preview Mode for Shatters

New Preview Mode for Shattering: Allowing user to visualize all shatter params before breaking the geometry.

New Voronoi Reshattering

Conform Voronoi Reshatering: User is not longer constrained when reshattering a model, any shatter pattern can be added to the current set of fragments seamlessly, in addition new Conform Voronoi reshatering reduce the number of straight edges in the shatter pattern, hence improving the quality of the fragments generated.

New Interface and User Experience Additions

New Width parameter for Radial Shatter: adjust the size of radial pattern visually

New Undo Last button for undoing only the last shatter operation.

New Crackers Window: New window for controlling dynamic cracks, you count with several parameters for adjusting the cracks generation.

New Clusters Panel: User now can set clusters of fragment with different fracture parameters in the same fracture body, clusters can be edited at any time and are saved with the scene.

Workflow Improvements

Bounded Force fields can break fracture bodies: Any bounded force field can break fracture bodies in an accurrate way.

Speed up auto body creation: Creating many rigid bodies at once from complex geometry is much faster now.

Maya viewport 2.0 supported in Maya 2015: Vieport 2.0 is supported in Maya 2015, however the performance of the tool is still faster using legacy viewport.

Also Several bugs has been fixed since the previous version: see the list of bugs fixed in the product log pages.
