Create a Beautiful Stitching Effect Easily in Modo Using bm_Stitching Script

Bernd Möller shares a little something that he has been working on, creating highly detailed stitching effects easily in Modo with his bm_Stitching script.

Bernd walks through using all the aspects of the script to create stitching effects – covering the basic premix of the script, a polygon example as well as a curves based example and how to prepare your mesh for stitching. Bernd also covers a bit about getting the fur settings correct for the right look.

The Stitching Script for Modo can operate on polygons as well as curves. Select a mesh item containing just polys. Hit the button and the script will generate the stitching guides in a new mesh, and with curves you can select two curves in poly mode, hit the button and the script will generate the stitching guides. The order of selection is important as this will define in which direction the stitches point.
