3dCutout for 3ds Max is a new tool that gives you everything you need to easily create and manage 2d cutout style animations. From its creator Mehdi Zangeneh, 3dCutout allows you to import, rig and manage characters, environments, objects, and backgrounds for your 2d style animations.

Mehdi’s new tools are actually much more than a rigging tool, although it does come with a comprehensive character generator. There is also an object generator, extensive asset browser, a generator for creating environments, and a scene manager – Pretty much everything you need to create and manage 2D cutout animations within 3ds.
The goal was to create a complete and automatic pipeline for 2d cutout assets, speeding up your workflow. 3dCutout removes unused tools and updates existing ones for someone in every phase of the production pipeline allowing you to create animations, assets, plans to access them easily.
