School of Motion’s Joey Korenman has released a new version for his Scenery preset for Cinema 4D. Scenery is the 1-click seamless environment solution for Cinema 4D.

This site has been an amazing partner for School of Motion, so to
say thanks we’ve set up a discount code for any of your readers that
want to purchase Scenery 2.0

Using Scenery allows you to create renders that have a seamless transition between the horizon line and the ground plane, making it perfect for creating product renders or anything that has a studio like environment.

Scenery allows you to control pretty much every aspect of your C4D scene’s environment which include things like simple color, shininess, reflectivity, texture, and more.

I asked Joey some details about scenery 2.0 and he was kind enough to answer back with a short Q & A, and also offers a discount code for saving some bucks on your Scenery 2.0 purchase for Cinema 4D.

Q:  What has changed in version 2.0 of Scenery?

A: The biggest change was getting the plugin redesigned to work
correctly with Cinema 4D R16.  The new Reflectance channel works a bit
differently than the old reflection and specular channels, so there
was a lot of work done to ensure that everything would behave
correctly.

We got a lot of user feedback and incorporated as much as we could.
We cleaned up the UI, made things a bit more logical, and added a big
new feature which is the ability to customize your floors with a
texture.  In v1.0, you could only do this on skies.  We worked hard to
make the new version easier to use and much easier to customize.

We also created a page called Scenery School to get people up to speed
quickly with the plugin and to really learn the power-features.

Q: How has the response been to Scenery so far?

A: Check out the sales page
(http://www.schoolofmotion.com/store_scenery/) to see some work from
Scenery users.  It’s been used on network promos, commercials, and
virtual product photography.  It’s designed to be a big time saver for
folks that have to create these “limbo” environments all the time, and
the feedback we’ve gotten tells us that it’s working really well for
that.

Q:  What are your plans for the future of Scenery?

A:  School of Motion is not going to be a plugin company, we are more
focused on training and building learning products to help the next
generation of Motion Graphics artist.  As we get more feedback on
Scenery, we’ll continue to develop it when appropriate, but we’ve
learned that our core business is training and coaching.

Q: Anything else for the LesterBanks audience?

A: This site has been an amazing partner for School of Motion, so to
say thanks we’ve set up a discount code for any of your readers that
want to purchase Scenery 2.0  Use the code “s20lester” at check out to
