Creating PreComp Connections in After Effects

By February 12, 2015No Comments

Having many layers and pre comp elements in After Effects will take over the project. Wouldn’t it be great if you could do something in one composition and have it affect in the other?

Mikey Borup shows us a great tip…  Creating connections between certain items between compositions in After Effects.

You actually can create preComp connections by using a newer feature in Ae. “Copy With Property Links” under the edit menu, will allow you to copy and paste with a connection to the original item.

Think of it as a beefed-up copy and paste that is expression driven. Using “Copy With Property Links”, Ae will actually create the expressions for you, simplifying the process.
