Fake an AirField for Fluid Simulations in Houdini

By July 20, 2015No Comments

VFX/motion graphics artist, Arek Topolski shows off his simple technique for adding drag forces to various parts of a fluid, that will greatly enhance water streams or water fall effects without adding significant times to the simulations. This is an alternative to adding the Houdini AirField to the water simulations.

Arek shows how you can create a super simple fake Airfield effect, by adding drag forces to parts of the fluid. This will allow you to better art-direct the scene you are working on, and adds minimal times to the simulations.
