Editing Normals for Anime-Style Shading in Blender

By August 21, 2015No Comments

Daniel Kreuter shares two methods for manipulating the normals on our mesh that will offer a better anime-style look for your renders in Blender.

Daniel takes a unique approach to creating the anime cel shaded look or the cartoon look, by editing object normals to determine the shading. This is opposed to other methods such as deforming the mesh itself.

This technique isn’t just for anime-style rendering. It can be used for any non-photorealistic renders that you may want to create in Blender.
