A Quick Way to Add Wrinkles in Substance Painter

By January 13, 2020No Comments

Motionworks shows how you can quickly add wrinkles to surfaces when using Substance Painter.

John Dickinson offers a quick tip for those of us getting started with Substance Painter. Dickinson shows how easy it is to paint wrinkles on to the surfaces of objects. The creases are the tiny kind often found in folded leather or similar material.

Dickinson shows how to combine the brush and eraser tools in Substance Painter to add fine wrinkle details to the leather surface. The video covers using a more manual art-directed approach rather than a procedural one as in using a smart material.
