How to Create a Shrink Wrap Sim in Blender using Cloth

Nathan Duck shows how you can use a cloth sim to create a shrink wrap effect in Blender.

While a lot of DCC’s will have a shrink wrap deformer, they are a practical tool rather than an effect. If you want to create an effect, as an animation of a shrink wrap, you can use soft body dynamics. It’s not too hard. Just check out Nathan Duck’s latest tutorial that shows how you can create a shrink wrap sim easily using Blender cloth tools.

The tutorial makes use of a new setting in Blender’s cloth tools, letting you create and animate pressure. Nathan uses the pressure setting to animate a shrink wrap in a pretty straightforward way. There are just a few things to set up first.
