Working With the New Bifrost Scatter Nodes

Christoph Schädl walks through some scatter scenarios with Bifrost Scatter.

The latest Bifrost release for Maya saw some new scatter nodes and some changes to the existing Scatter Points. Have a look at this short series from Christoph Schädl, a senior artist at Rabcat in Austria. Christoph runs through how to use the scatter points and random nodes for a couple of different scattering scenarios.

Schädl shows how to use weights to control distribution, suing fields to do the same, and then shows how to place points on an object’s flat parts, like a rock. Perfect for moss or snow effects.
