While there are a few ways to take control over a dynamic simulation, likely one of the first ways people think of is by using keyframes. The two might seem opposed, but it is possible to key dynamic objects as a way to art-direct them.
Check out this new tutorial from Stormz that shows how you can create a rigid body sim in Houdini and still keyframe the bullet dynamics. Stormz’s previous tutorial showed how you could quickly generate a pile of rubble with a bullet sim, and this one dovetails nicely into that one.
