cgSide shows how to make a procedural ripple animation with Bifrost in Maya.
This new tutorial from CGside shows how to make procedural animation with Bifrost in Maya. The tutorial covers creating a ripple effect using nodes in Bifrost. The animation is pretty much deformer free save for the deformer created with nodes in the Graph.
The network uses some of Jason Brown’s nodes and Autodesk’s Roland Reyer’s Manipulator Field compound. If you’ve not seen the compound’s essential workings, look at a general overview here.
Download the Bifrost compound and scripts here.
