This new tutorial from Alex Amor shows how to create DNA-style text in Cavalry that uses a Sub-Mesh deformer to affect type on a per-character basis.

Alex walks through how Sub-Mesh can be combined with the Oscillator and Duplicator to create a complex setup that’s simple to put together. “It’s a completely dynamic scene with no keyframes, so you can quickly put your spin on it by simply adjusting the attributes.”
