Alan and Miquel have been providing some great tips and tutorials under TD Survival, and in this quick tip show that essentially, the Paint Selections tool is simply a brush in Softimage, so it could behave similarly to painting weights, and by turning symmetry on, you have a an easy way to select components in symmetry.
