Paul Winex’s Multi Script Editor Lets You Code for Houdini, Nuke and Maya

By March 17, 2015No Comments

VFX and Technical Artist Paul Giydenko (Paul Winex) posts a preview for a new tool that will allow you to script for multiple applications. Paul’s Multi Script Editor has code hinting and syntax for multiple platforms and runs as a stand alone scripting environment.

This means that you can use a unified IDE environment for applications like Houdini, Nuke, and Maya. I can see this coming in handy for TD Artist who bounce around quite a bit from application to application. Paul notes that the Multi Script Editor will be “coming soon” – stay tuned for that.

You may remember some of Paul Winex’s other great tools such as the Display Layers Tree for Maya which adds a hierarchical views to Maya’s Display Layers, and his Maya To Houdini Channel Exporter.
