The Video covering the whole major coins of human history and world economy by the special effects team of Ultraman is released on November 24.
In this video, over 3,000 different types of currency comprising all the major coins in human history is presented. Against the backdrop of grand dioramas representing the major turning points of the global economy, the video uses stop-motion animation to depict the entire history of currency? from cowry shells, the world’s first currency, to currency in modern circulation.

We spent an entire year preparing this special video to position the new Sony Bank Wallet as “transcending the old ideas of currency.”
The video uses dioramas to offer realistic depictions of changing times & eras?the key to showcasing the evolution of currency. The 15-person special effects team behind the modern Godzilla and Ultraman series took 3 months to produce dioramas representing 7 ages of human history.
The video also uses over 1000 coins and 9 days’ worth of painstaking stop-motion animation. The team toiled every day from early morning to late at night under the guidance of stop-motion photography professionals to provide a realistic depiction of each & every coin.
