Creating Chainmail in ZBrush With MicroMesh

By April 29, 2016No Comments

CG artist, Aleks Markelj shares a look at creating chainmail with Zbrush’s MicroMesh feature. There are a few solutions to creating a convincing chainmail, but Micro-Mesh offers a quick and manageable way to create a larger object out of smaller parts.

MicroMesh in Zbrush allows you to swap out objects with another 3D model. This can be useful when you want to replace FibreMesh fibers for objects, or individual polygons of an object with another object. It is actually a BPR render feature within Zbrush, rendering the objects as if they were instances of the selected 3D model.
