Laurence Grayson of Short Form Video with part one of a multipart tutorial ultimately creating animated scrollwork on calligraphic text on a parchment texture background complete with floating dust motes and a wax seal.

“Here’s the first part of my latest tutorial series, which I’m calling The Order. It’s a medieval title sequence with a Knights Templar theme using animated scrollwork on the calligraphic text, with a parchment texture background, floating dust motes and a wax seal.
All of this is done from scratch, using on the tools you’ll find in CS3, CS4 or CS5 – so no plug-ins required (although you can use Trapcode Form for the dust motes component for better results if you have it). The second and third parts will follow soon, and I’ll be posting the After Effects project file on the site once all the tutorials have gone live.”
