Lee Griggs shows how you can render realistic glass, liquid, and bubbles in Arnold.

Autodesk’s Arnold’s rendering specialist, Lee Griggs, adds another walkthrough that features some of the unique features in Arnold Renderer. The latest looks at how simple rendering glass, liquid, and bubbles are in Arnold using nested dielectrics and caustics.

Arnold’s nested dielectrics offer an effortless way to render complex refractive interactions between objects using a simple priority system. “This correctly tracks how the IOR changes as the rays refract leading to realistic renders.”
