PolyPaint Pack C4D Sees Release, Create, Edit or Import PolyPaint from Zbrush

Rui Batista’s C4D plugin for reading a model’s color vertex information directly in Cinema 4D has been released. PolyPaint Pack C4D is a pack of 6 plugins that will allow you to import edit or even create color vertex information into C4D.

This means if you are using a ZBrush to Cinema 4D workflow, you can easily export your model information from ZBrush and import the model into C4D with all of it’s PolyPaint groups in tact.

You can even edit the imported model’s color vertex information by painting directly on the object in Cinema 4D. PolyPaint Pack C4D is a complete set of 6 plugins which include a PolyPaint Shader, PolyPaint Tool, PolyPaint Transfer, PolyPaint From Material, and the PolyPaint Editor.

All together, the PolyPaint Pack C4D is a complete solution for working with PolyPaint data from ZBrush or simply forgoing UV’s in C4D and painting textures directly on your models.

Vertex Painting (PolyPainting) is something that is supported by brush, Blender or 3D Coat. The RGB values are stored with the model so exporting the models will also export their associated RGB values in a uniquely formatted .OBJ or .FBX format.

Typically when poly-painted models are imported into C4D, it will only load the geometry information and disregard the RGB color data. PolyPaint Pack C4D allows you to read this color information from ZBrush and others, or edit or even create it directly in C4D.
