The Geo-location toolkit for Cinema 4D has a new home with The Great Summit. You might remember Lon-Lat as a tool that will let you create accurate locations and connections from around the globe. The plugin offered an easy way to create connections between locations. Great for explainers, infographics and documentary graphics.

It was four years ago that the original plugin was released. Soon after, version 2 added the ability to use Open Street Map data for the input for animations. Not much has taken place since then.

That is, until now. C4D’s LON-LAT Connection Kit has some new hands in Pim Groof and The Goat Summit. Version 3 has some great new functionality. The plugin now comes with the possibility of over 130 country location splines. It also has added an easy to use sweep line object that houses an embedded animation system. The plugin also has some new advanced settings, a new integrated help function, and the ability to use different styles for the earth model. Support for Cinema 4D R18 (both MacOS and Windows) rounds out C4D’s LON-LAT Connection Kit 3.

The plugin can be found at The Great Summit, for roughly $48.00.
