How to Animate Layer Shader’s Layer Opacities Separately in C4D

Maxon’s Jonas Pilz Shares a Quick Tip That Shows How You Can Animate Layer’s Opacities Separately in the Layer Shader

Sometimes you might want to animate the opacities for single layers within Cinema 4D’s Layer Shader. For that, you can use the layers parameter and merely keyframe some changes. However, this sets keys for all of the layer, all at once. What if you wanted to take individual control over every single layer’s opacity?

Easy! Jonas Pilz shows that by revealing subchannels in the layer shader settings, brings up individual controls for each of the layers in the Shader. Interestingly, this technique also works with the gradient, letting you have control over all the pins in the gradient ramp.
