An interesting article on Zoic’s blog about the evolution of the storyboard, animatic and the ripomatic labeled the animatic for the 21st century. Zoic defines the ripomatic as being like animatics, but created from existing elements of films, tv shows, and commercials even including still images and other assets that may be lying around.
