- Global illu mi na tion (ray-traced, point-based, or both!)
- Hybrid ray-tracing/REYES rendering
- Stereo/Multi-camera ren der ing with full Ocula 2.0 support
- Advanced physical-based mate ri als & lights
- Image-based and point-based HDR lighting
- Par ti cle import, sim u la tion, pro ce dural expan sion, instanc ing & rendering
- Import of ani mated geom e try (RIB/OBJ/(B)GEO) with weighted motion retargeting
- Sub-pixel dis place ment
- Fast, true 3D motion blur
- True 3D depth of field
- Arbi trary RSL2.0 eval u a tion on Nuke pix els via Atom izer (allow ing e.g. full 2.5D relighting)
- Toon shad ing & Ink out lines tuned for Japanese-style animé rendering
- All com po nents of the shad ing, like spec u lar, dif fuse, reflec tion, indi rect d iffuse, etc. are avail able as sep a rate chan nels (AOVs) from the AtomKraft nodes
“AtomKraft turns Nuke into a complete look development (re)lighting & (re)rendering solution that enables studios to alleviate the use of 3D packages for this part of the production pipeline. It empowers compositors to make changes to renders themselves instead of relying on a lighting TD. But what’s more — it even allows them to do the work of a lighting TD, all from inside Nuke.”
Under the Hood AtomKraft interfaces with DNA Research’s 3Delight high-end, RenderMan–compliant, offline rendering engine. The integrated version of 3Delight was specifically designed in conjunction with jupiter jazz and each AtomKraft license includes 3Delight, supporting unlimited cores/threads on a single host. This is a special AtomKraft version of 3Delight works solely inside Nuke.
