Jc.Clothes tools updated recently to version 2. The Maya scripts claim to implement the ideal way of making clothes from building patterns and stitch them together. nCloth is used to deform the clothes realistically and the workflow can be convoluted and this is where jc.clothes tools comes in -this script simplifies it tremendously. It hides away the technical complexity from the artists so you can focus on tailoring without worrying about the technical aspects. Jc.Clothes is available as a trial or complete version found here.
version two sports:
- Locators can be used to identify and place patterns.
- No need to write script to rebuild garment.
- A new Garment Builder UI to create and store garment structure which will be parsed to generate the garment dynamically. An alternative workflow is possible based on this tool.
- A new Twist Root option in the Match Joints command to fix rotation problem during stitching simulation. Its value is saved so that there’s no need to fix the same problem every time the garment is rebuilt.
- Pattern behavior is mirrored. There’s no need to move and set keyframes for those on the right side.
- Optimized for speed. There’s a new C++ plug-in to speed up calculation further more.
