Autodesk’s Steven Rosell shows some great tips and methods to getting your model’s polygons reduced in Autodesk Maya using Maya’s native poly reduce tool. Ever try the poly reduce tool and laugh at the results after waiting a few minutes for it to calculate? Yeah, me too – well Steven shows off a pretty good method for getting a good layout from the polygon reduction tool in Maya as well as keeping the UV’s and texture close to the original. Pretty cool.
