Exotic Matter, makers of the up and coming Naiad dynamics solver for high end 3D animation recently posted some new videos on their site demonstrating Naiad in action. Although Naiad isn’t quite in release for general public consumption, there is an interest list where you can request to be on a 30-day trial version of Naiad before the official launch which seems to be still on track for this last quarter of 2010.
If you remember, Naiad was featured at FxGuide as the technology behind the tools of Avatar, with part 2 looking at Exotic Matter’s Naiad which was used for the fluid simulations in the Neytiri “leaf drinking shot”
