By June 14, 2011One Comment

Solie Swan from 360 Media with a look at how to get started using After Effects for creating Storyboards or Animatic or as a step in the production Workflow. Solie covers all kinds of great tips along the way as well.

Here is a tutorial geared towards beginners on creating a camera rig that can be used for a basic storyboarding / animatic workflow in Adobe After Effects. I have really just adapted the camera rig developed by Maltaanon for my purposes and his camera rig video is really worth watching. You can find it here: maltaannon.com/?articles/?after-effects/?simple-camera-rig/?

Is it possible to make similar setup in Maya? I think, it is much easier to control a camera in Maya than in After Effects. The question is, how to use the backdrop.
