Building a Simple 3D Head and Eyes in After Effects using FreeForm

By September 9, 2011No Comments

Daniel Gies takes a look at creating a simple head and eyes in After Effects so that it has some pseudo-3D capabilities using the After Effects bundled version of Mettle’s FreeForm which has some really powerful features. Check out the Mettle for more information on FreeForm and FreeForm Pro for After Effects here.

Daniel Gies notes on his tutorial: “This is a fairly long tutorial video that demonstrates some techniques used to build and rig a 3D head using the FreeForm plugin included with After Effects CS5. I also review setting up expression controls to drive nested compositions like eye blinks and head rotations and creating pupils that follow a null object like a “Look At” point.”
