Looks like Project Sync for After Effects from Roe Technologies may actually see the light of day after a sneak preview more than 8 months ago, Project Sync for After Effects is aiming for a release of April 1st… or… maybe its merely an April Fools day prank.
Project Sync for After Effects promises to eliminate the headaches associated with sharing and importing After Effects projects by synchronizing changes with out re-importing or duplicating footage or comps. Sounds great.
Craig Whitaker posts a review on MotionWorks using Project Sync in a workflow that you can check out.
“Project Sync will change the way you use After Effects in a studio environment. Do you need to share projects with other After Effects users? Is sharing the same project with other After Effects users a headache? We think so too. What if you could import multiple projects and have them all update, right inside your project window without a re-import and without duplicating footage or comps? Sounds cool right?”
