Allegorithmic shows how Substance Designer 2.5 allows you to extract maps from geometry directly into your textuing tool including ambient occlusion maps, curvature, worldSpace normal maps. Check out the latest features of Substance Designer 2.5 here.
- Link/Import mesh as a resource in sbs. These mesh can be displayed in the 3D view and used to extract information.
- New mesh information extraction feature. These information can be exported into bitmaps or svg and used in substance graphs. The following maps can be extracted:
- Ambient occlusion (depending on the GPU)
- World space normal
- UV to Svg mask
